Located on a prime property at the Gateway to one of the most famous and vibrant towns in the world at the doorstep to the Catskill Mountains in the majestic Hudson Valley of New York - central to the Northeast Region of New England - the Iconic Woodstock Playhouse has played host to extraordinary events and is the perfect performance venue for you to rent for your premiere event, music concert, rock concert, film premiere/screening, Broadway style musical/play/comedy, staging or out of NYC tryout, reading, recital, fundraiser, lecture demo and more.

Boasting historic roots established by a fifth generation member of one of Woodstock's Oldest Families, this refurbished and restructured house is the site where Richie Havens played in Jocko Moffit's 1968 last big Sound-Out/Precursor Concert to the 1969 Woodstock Festival, where The Band recorded their Stage Fright Album in 1970, where Margaret Webster led the Summer Season in 1949 & 1950 with her Shakespeare Company and partner Eva La Gallienne, and, throughout the decades, where the professional careers of Robert Hutton, Larry Hagman, Anne Meara, Dick Van Patten, Lee Marvin, Chevy Chase, Andrea Martin, and Diane Keaton, as well as countless other actors and brilliant talents, all received their start.
The Woodstock Playhouse is a celebrated and truly iconic home of Celebrated American Theatre and Music History as sited by the Congress of the United States who named the Woodstock Playhouse as an important stop on the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area trail...AND YOUR EVENT can become a part of its history in the national spotlight.
