A Benefit for the Performing Arts of Woodstock
To celebrate April as National Poetry Month and to support Performing
Arts of Woodstock, which is 55 years old this year, Garrison Keillor
will give a solo performance at the Woodstock Playhouse on April 27,
at 7:30 p.m. Keillor, a legendary entertainer, known and beloved by
millions for his long-running A Prairie Home Companion and The Writer's
Almanac, is donating his services for this benefit.

About Garrison Keillor
Radio personality, writer, humorist and actor Garrison Keillor is a native Minnesotan who began his career as a radio announcer for Minnesota Public Radio at the age of 17 back in 1959. His fame rests on A Prairie Home Companion which he hosted and largely wrote for 42 years; inventing places (Lake Wobegon), people (Guy Noir) and products ( the Ketchup Advisory Board), which live on in the public imagination. He has published numerous book and national articles and won a Grammy for the audio version of Lake Wobegon Days. His weekly podcast, The Writer's Almanac, is available online.
